WELCOME TO
CROSSGATES HARRIERS RUNNING CLUB

We are a small friendly running club based in East Leeds, offering a variety of training opportunities aimed at many different aspects of running for all abilities.

Monday night training takes place at various locations in East Leeds with different sessions designed to focus on speed, strength, and endurance.  These sessions are fully inclusive for all paces.

Wednesday night training is a social run of approximately 6 miles split into pacing groups with run leaders. Pace varies from 6 minute miles to 13 minute miles. We usually meet outside Puttstars at The Springs shopping centre and set off between 7pm to 7:30pm.

Crossgates Harriers host the annual Track Restoration Fund Run 10k and Juniors' Fun Run.  This year's race was held on 10th August 2025 and 100% of proceeds go directly to restoring and maintaining our local track, for the benefit of our community.

We are the proud recipients of Leeds Sports Awards Community Club of the Year!  This prestigious award is in recognition of the work our members put back into helping others and our local environment. Crossgates Harriers' continued community work also led to our club winning England Athletics' Regional Volunteer Awards for Yorkshire and Humberside's Community Project of the Year!  In further recognition of all the amazing work the club does, Crossgates Harriers also went on to earn the England Athletics' National Community Project of the Year at the National Volunteer Awards 2025!  From Easter egg donations, food bank collections, toy appeals, toothpaste runs, plogging, Temple Newsam's Track Restoration, and more, Crossgates Harriers really is more than just a running club!  Together we make so much happen - stronger together & together we can do so much!
